Resume Sample for Fresh Graduate Philippines 2026

Looking for a resume sample for fresh graduates in the Philippines? You are in the right place. Most resume guides online are written for applicants who already have years of experience. This one is written specifically for you — someone who just finished college, passed a board exam, or completed an OJT — and needs to compete with hundreds of other fresh graduates for the same opening.

The good news: Philippine recruiters do not expect fresh graduates to have two years of full-time experience. They are looking for something different. This guide shows you exactly what that is, with real resume samples you can copy today.

What Philippine Recruiters Look for in a Fresh Graduate Resume

Before we show you the samples, understand what the person reviewing your resume actually wants to see.

Academic performance matters more than you think. If your GWA is above 1.75 (or equivalent), put it on your resume. Companies like Accenture, BDO, and SM Group actively filter by GWA for entry-level hiring.

OJT and RLE are treated as real work experience. Your on-the-job training or related learning experience is the closest thing you have to professional experience. Treat it like a job entry — company name, dates, responsibilities, and measurable outcomes.

Skills must be specific. "Computer literate" and "good communication skills" are ignored by recruiters. Microsoft Excel (with specific functions), Canva, AutoCAD, SAP, or a specific EHR system — these are the specifics that matter.

One page is the rule. As a fresh graduate, you do not have enough content to justify two pages. A single, well-organized page shows discipline and clarity.

How to Write Each Section as a Fresh Graduate

    Education Section

Always list education first as a fresh graduate. Include:

  • Degree name and major
  • University name and location
  • Graduation month and year
  • GWA (if 1.75 or above, or top 10% of your batch)
  • Latin honors (Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, Summa Cum Laude)
  • Academic awards and scholarships
  • OJT / Internship Section

Title it "On-the-Job Training" or "Internship Experience." Include:

  • Company name and department
  • Dates (Month Year – Month Year)
  • 3–5 bullet points describing what you actually did
  • Use action verbs: assisted, coordinated, prepared, monitored, analyzed
  • Quantify where possible: "handled 50+ customer inquiries daily"
  • Skills Section

Separate technical skills from soft skills. Recruiters scan this section first.

  • Technical: Software, tools, certifications, languages
  • Skip: "team player," "hardworking," "passionate" — everyone writes these
  • Objective Statement

Keep it to 2–3 sentences. Include:

  • Your degree and school
  • Your strongest skill or achievement
  • The specific role or industry you're targeting
  • Do not write: *"To obtain a position where I can use my skills and grow professionally."*

Write: *"BS Computer Science graduate from DLSU with a capstone project in machine learning seeking a junior data analyst role in fintech or e-commerce."*

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a photo on my resume for jobs in the Philippines?

Most Philippine employers still expect a 2x2 or passport-size photo on the resume. Place it in the upper right corner of the header. Use a professional, plain-background photo in business attire. Some multinational companies and BPOs have moved away from photos — when in doubt, include one.

Should I include my GWA if it is low?

If your GWA is below 2.25 (or below 80%), leave it out. Focus instead on OJT achievements, leadership positions, certifications, and skills. Your GWA is one data point — a strong internship track record outweighs a mediocre GWA for most private sector employers.

How long should a fresh graduate resume be in the Philippines?

One page. No exceptions as a fresh graduate. If you feel you have too much content, cut anything that is not directly relevant to the job you are applying for. Two-page resumes are acceptable only once you have 3+ years of full-time work experience.

What should I put under work experience if I have none?

Your OJT counts. So does your thesis or capstone project, academic org leadership, freelance work, part-time jobs (even sari-sari stores or family businesses), and relevant volunteer work. Never leave the experience section blank — every fresh graduate has something.

Is it okay to use a resume template I found online?

Yes, as long as it is ATS-friendly (no tables, no text boxes, no headers/footers with important information, single-column layout). The safest format is a clean Word or PDF document with standard fonts (Calibri, Arial, or Times New Roman). Use SkillsGo's [free resume builder](https://skillsgo.me/resume) for an ATS-ready template built specifically for Philippine job seekers.
