Questions
- How is take-home pay computed in the Philippines?
- Gross monthly salary minus the employee shares of SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG, minus withholding tax on what remains. Taxable pay is gross pay less those three contributions.
- How much is the SSS contribution?
- The employee pays 5% of the monthly salary credit. The credit is your salary rounded to the nearest ₱500, with a floor of ₱5,000 and a ceiling of ₱35,000, so the employee share runs from ₱250 to ₱1,750 a month.
- How much is the PhilHealth contribution?
- The employee pays 2.5% of basic pay, which is counted between ₱10,000 and ₱100,000. That is ₱250 to ₱2,500 a month.
- How much is the Pag-IBIG contribution?
- The employee pays 2% of monthly pay, capped at ₱200 because the fund salary ceiling is ₱10,000. It is 1% if pay is ₱1,500 or less.
- What does this calculator leave out?
- 13th month pay, overtime, allowances, de minimis benefits, loans, absences and your employer's own payroll rules. Your payslip is the final word.
