Terms of Service

By accessing or using skillsgo.me and its associated services ("SkillsGo", "the Platform", "we", "our", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the platform.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use SkillsGo, including job seekers using our resume builder, job board, and career guides.

1. Use of the Platform

SkillsGo provides career tools for Filipino professionals, including a free resume builder, job listings, career path guides, and board passer resources. You may use the platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.

You agree not to use SkillsGo to:

  • Post, transmit, or distribute false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the platform without written permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure
  • Impersonate another person, company, or entity
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation, servers, or networks
  • Violate any applicable Philippine or international laws or regulations

2. User Accounts

Most of SkillsGo works without an account. Some features (such as the dashboard and profile) need you to sign in with Google or an email link. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

You must provide accurate and current information when creating an account. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

SkillsGo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful behavior.

3. Job Listings Disclaimer

Job postings on SkillsGo are gathered from public job boards and employer websites. SkillsGo does not verify employers. SkillsGo does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any job listing. Positions may be filled, removed, or changed at any time without notice.

SkillsGo is not an employment agency and is not a party to any employment agreement between a user and an employer. Clicking an apply link takes you to the employer's official site or the original job board. SkillsGo does not collect, process, or store your application data.

We strongly advise all users to verify the legitimacy of any job posting before applying, sharing personal documents, or paying any fees. Legitimate Philippine employers do not charge applicants to apply, and recruitment agencies for overseas work must be licensed by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW, formerly POEA) and may only charge fees the law allows.

4. Resume Builder & User Content

Resume data you enter into the SkillsGo resume builder remains your property. It is saved in your own browser, not on our servers. When you download a PDF, your resume is sent to our server only to create the file, and is not stored.

SkillsGo does not share, sell, or transfer your resume content to employers, recruiters, or third parties. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser data for skillsgo.me.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on SkillsGo — including but not limited to career guides, resume templates, UI design, code, logos, and branding — is the intellectual property of SkillsGo and is protected by Philippine and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, or commercially exploit any SkillsGo content without our prior written permission. Resume templates may be used solely for personal, non-commercial job search purposes.

6. Career Guides & Information Accuracy

Career guides, salary benchmarks, and career path information on SkillsGo are provided for general informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, salary ranges, job requirements, and industry information change frequently. SkillsGo makes no warranty that the information is current, accurate, or complete. Always verify career and salary information from authoritative sources (DOLE, PRC, POEA, NWPC) before making major career decisions.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Philippine law, SkillsGo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of employment opportunities or failure to obtain employment
  • Reliance on inaccurate or outdated career information
  • Damages arising from fraudulent job postings listed on third-party platforms we aggregate
  • Interruptions, errors, or unavailability of the platform

8. Third-Party Links

SkillsGo contains links to third-party websites, job boards, and employer sites. These links are provided for convenience only. SkillsGo has no control over the content, privacy practices, or terms of these external sites and accepts no responsibility for them. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk.

9. Changes to Terms

SkillsGo reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced via a notice on the site. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the use of SkillsGo shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.
