Privacy policy

This policy explains what SkillsGo (skillsgo.me) collects, why, and the choices you have. We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

Your resume

  • What you type into the resume builder is saved in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers.
  • When you download the PDF, your resume is sent over HTTPS to our server so it can build the file. It’s used only for that request and isn’t stored or logged.
  • The “Write with AI” features run on your device using your browser’s built-in model. Your resume isn’t sent to an AI service.
  • To delete your resume, clear this site’s data in your browser.

If you sign in (optional)

  • You can sign in with Google or with a one-time link sent to your email. We don’t use passwords.
  • We store your name, email address, profile picture (from Google) and the profile answers you choose to give.
  • A signed session cookie keeps you signed in.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage analytics: pages visited and general device information, through Vercel Web Analytics and Google Analytics 4.
  • Performance data (page speed) through Vercel Speed Insights.
  • Your IP address, briefly, to limit abuse of sign-in and PDF downloads.

Who processes data for us

  • Vercel — hosting, analytics and performance monitoring
  • Supabase — our database (accounts and job listings)
  • Resend — sending sign-in emails
  • Google — Google sign-in and Google Analytics
  • Upstash — short-lived rate-limit counters keyed by IP address

We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t share your resume or contact details with employers, recruiters or advertisers. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Job listings and outside links

Job listings link to other websites. When you apply, you’re on the employer’s or job board’s site and their privacy policy applies. SkillsGo doesn’t receive your application.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to its processing. Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within 30 days. You may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request, unless the law requires us to keep it. Analytics data follows each provider’s retention settings.

Children

SkillsGo isn’t meant for anyone under 15. If a child has given us personal data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, post a notice on the site.
